Refinery relocation project

Following a thorough investigation conducted by PCH, one of the most complex refineries in the world, located in Switzerland (Nelson Index 9,5) was selected for relocation. The refinery was also supplemented with its own power generation unit of 25 MW.

The original Swiss refinery was shut-down due to political issues which had resulted in economic and logistic constraints.

PCH’s  relocation feasibility study, conducted in collaboration with Ventech, a world-renowned contractor , confirmed the viability of the project and set the proposed project budget and schedule.

Meetings and site visits with Angolan authorities were ultimately held and a land plot on the coast of Cabinda enclave was selected.

The project was, however, suspended due to political reasons.
